Site Safety Plus Courses

Health and Safety Awareness (HSA)

This course is 1 day and highlights potential hazards when working on site and provides practical advice on keeping yourself and your colleagues safe. It covers your individual and employer’s responsibilities, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk. Certification for this course is valid for 5 years and allows you to apply for the CSCS card after a touch screen test.

Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)

This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, responsibilities for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering groups of staff e.g. site manager. Certification for this course is valid for 5 years. To remain certified in this area, you will need to take a refresher course before the expiry date on your certificate, otherwise the full course will need to be retaken.

Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SMSTS-R)

This course is for you if you have previously passed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course, or a subsequent refresher course and will allow you to be competent for a further 5 years.

Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)

This is a two-day course that is designed for those that are looking to have supervisory responsibilities on a construction site or who are already in that type of role. This qualification will last for 5 years and you must take a refresher course before your qualification date runs out to maintain your competency.

Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS-R)

This course is for you if you have previously passed the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and will allow you to be competent for a further 5 years.
